Custom built pergola. Coventry, CT

We built this cedar pergola in Coventry CT. It is constructed entirely with clear western red cedar. The posts are 6×6. The boards used for the beams are 2×8 and the rafters are 2×6. The slats on the top are approximately 3/4″ by 2 3/4″. The posts are anchored with galvanized post hardware that is bolted to 6″ concrete piers. We used stainless steel screws to help prevent staining of the cedar.
